Aston Villa Women Season Ticket Deadline Lands With WSL Set For 14-Team Era

Aston Villa Women’s season-ticket renewal window closes at 5pm today, with prices frozen for a 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign that expands to 14 clubs for the first time.

According to a fresh update from Aston Villa’s official website, existing season-ticket holders have until this afternoon to renew before any unclaimed seats at Villa Park go to general sale on Wednesday 22 July. The club has held prices at last season’s level despite the WSL’s move to a bigger, more competitive format, and has introduced a new 18-25 age category for 2026/27 following supporter feedback.

Natalia Arroyo’s Squad Rebuild Adds Extra Incentive For Villa Park Renewals

The deadline lands with Natalia Arroyo well into reshaping her squad for the step up in competition. Villa Women have already added Norway midfielder Justine Kielland from Wolfsburg and Denmark forward Amalie Vangsgaard from Juventus this summer, giving Arroyo fresh options through the middle and up front as the club prepares for a longer, harder league season at home.

That bigger test arrives because the WSL is expanding from 12 to 14 teams for 2026/27, with Birmingham City and Crystal Palace promoted after finishing first and second in the Women’s Super League 2. The change also means more football at Villa Park: clubs will play 26 league matches instead of 22, with promotion and relegation both doubling from one place to two.

Villa’s Early Bird and Renewal Rate stays open until Tuesday 4 August, after which the general sale price applies from 5 August. Supporters will not have long to wait to plan their season around it, either, with the full 2026/27 Barclays WSL fixture list due out at 10am on Thursday 30 July.
