Christian Benteke, 15 goals this season so far in all competitions after the Belgium started to take a liking to Tim Sherwood’s way of playing football, but as Tim Sherwood says, is he the best striker in Europe?
going against the likes of Sergio Aguero, Lewandowski, Suarez, Ronaldo and Messi – but surely he can’t be better?
At 24, with 49 goals in 99 games for Aston Villa – it sure shows the potential in the young Belgium forward and how far he could go in the worlds game and with rumours of £30m transfer fees and £100k a week also, its starts to turn heads worldwide.
But what does the Belgium need to do to go futher in his game, well here’s Read Aston Villa take on how he can do it.
International football
Cerement his first team place in the squad and have a strong tournament, preferably 2016 Euro’s, scoring consistently and keeping the likes of Origi and Lukaku on the bench.
Ambition
It’s hard to keep your head straight when big clubs with big bank balances clubs come swooping in, but the key to Benteke is to keep him at Aston Villa til at least he is guaranteed first team Europa League/Champions League football – not only key to his development but to him as a fully fledged footballer.
Style of play
Benteke is seen as a complete forward, being able to do everything – but i’m of the belief that he is best with the ball at his feet and receiving from deep.
Injury free
Also, adhering to this style of play will help keep his injury’s to a minimum and keep his playing time as high as possible, to score more goals.
