In 1982, Aston Villa lined up against Bayern Munich. The likes of Peter Withe and Dennis Mortimer lined up against Karl Hans Rumminiger and Paul Breitner with a chance to claim European glory for Aston Villa.
Fast forward to today and we’re 20th in the Premier League, staring down the barrel of Championship football next season.
It’s heartbreaking for Villa fans.

But after a succession of bad managerial appointments following the resignation of Martin O’Neill, Randy Lerner’s good intentions had come undone, Villa fighting against relegation season upon season saw the fans turn against the hierarchy and now relegation is all but confirmed, fans want the owner out of the club as soon as possible.
