Aston Villa target James Chester insists he’s good enough to make an immediate move back to the Premier League but he’s also content with staying at relegated Hull City.
Villa are interested in acquiring the services of the Welsh international defender as they look to strengthen their defence. They would have thought that their chances of signing him will have improved after Hull were relegated from the Premier League.
“I believe I’m still good enough to play in the Premier League and international level. If I have to play my football in the Championship I’m pretty confident it won’t affect my position.” The centre back is aware of the interest from clubs in the premier league but he reiterates that he’s happy to stay at the KC Stadium.
“I think other people’s interest and comments are always nice for the ego. But they are situations and scenarios that I can’t affect. “Unless something changes I am more than happy to be at Hull.
