Former Aston Villa player Garry Thompson says loaning striker Scott Hogan to Sheffield United will be beneficial to the Villa Park club in the long run.
HITC cite an interview with BBC West Midlands where the 59-year-old backed the potential move.
Hogan has made just six Championship appearances for the Villians this season, having fallen behind loanee Tammy Abraham and Jonathan Kodjia in the striking pecking order.

The 26-year-old moved to the Midlands from Brentford in January of 2017, who were managed by now Villa boss Dean Smith at the time.
He signed a four and a half year contract upon arrival at the club but has so far failed to establish a regular spot due to a mixture of bad form and injuries.
Hogan has reportedly undergone a medical with the Blades, with the six-month loan move set to be finalised before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
On the decision to let Hogan leave, Thompson said:
At the minute, his confidence is so low. He has come on a couple of times and he doesn’t look like he has any confidence. Maybe getting away on loan somewhere, getting a few games under his belt, nicking a few goals, you’ll get the striker Villa brought 18 months ago.
