Grealish To Turn Back On Ireland?

Aston Villa’s highly-rated, Jack Grealish is set to turn his back on the Republic of Ireland and opt to further his international career with his country of birth, England. Sam Wallace from The Independent reports that the 20-year old will announce in the coming weeks his desire to play senior international football for the Three Lions.

Grealish has opted to play for his grandparents country of birth the Republic of Ireland since a youngster from U17 level, but since taking the Premier League by storm Aston Villa his international future has become more uncertain and more of a question.

The Solihull-born man could be in line for a call-up for England’s final round of Euro 2016 qualifying games against Estonia and Lithuania next month.

Roy Hodgson recently told the press after his side’s victory over San Marino that he believes the Villa starlet is ‘very talented’ and that he can ‘foresee’ new players breaking into his squad ahead of next summer’s European Championships in France.
