Aston Villa Chief Executive, Tom Fox has told Aston Villa’s website that Remi Garde is ‘the man who can deliver’ as manager at Villa Park when speaking to Aston Villa’s official website after the announcement that Garde would be succeeding Tim Sherwood as manager.
Fox went on to say that the Villa hierarchy has been ‘working purposefully’ on moving the club forward and building a ‘successful organisation’ and a team that can ‘succeed in the Premier League’
“We are confident that Rémi is the manager who can deliver the best from the current squad and help set the club up for future success” – Tom Fox
He went on to talk about how finding a manager who ‘shares and believes’ in the vision of Fox and the board was ‘essential’ in bringing the vision ‘to life’ on the pitch.
They have their man
Aston Villa have been tracking Remi Garde since Tim Sherwood was sacked last weekend, it was possibly one of the worst kept secrets going, but now it is official. Garde has a tough job at Villa Park and he must hit the ground running. A real test of tactical nouse comes immediately with Manchester City on Sunday.
For Tom Fox it is make or break with the Villa faithful already anxious about their teams plight.
