Mark Bunn’s mission to save Northampton Town

Aston Villa Goalkeeper Mark Bunn is to start a JustGiving page to try to save the club where he started his career, Northampton Town.

Bunn aims to raise £100k with this fund, helping save The Cobblers who are in dire need of fresh cash.

Northampton Town have £166,000 of unpaid taxes to pay and are expected to receive a winding up notice from the High Court.

He played at Northampton Town for 7 years and made 90 appearances for the club while he there from 2001 until leaving in 2008.

Mark Bunn is currently playing second fiddle behind American Brad Guzan at Aston Villa, but it hasn’t stopped him from impressing some during pre-season, with some calling for his inclusion after errors from Guzan have cost Aston Villa points.
