Aston Villa’s weekend tormentor Troy Deeney, otherwise known as the only good striker ever to support Birmingham City has given a twisted response to Watford Observer about The Villans current position in the Premier League.
In an interview, Deeney said that he would not be ‘crying’ if Villa were to be relegated, but said as a Birmingham-born man he doesn’t want ‘any Midlands team not doing well’ saying that he hopes Villa ‘can pick up’.
Deeney was one of the main dangers as Aston Villa were sank 3-2 by The Hornets at Villa Park leaving Remi Garde’s side in further trouble. Deeney’s goal being one of the luckiest of Watford’s three as it deflected in.
There have always been questions over where his loyalties lie though with some fans once believing the former-Aston Villa academy player was a Villa fan but in reality he has a Birmingham City badge emblazoned on his leg as a tattoo.
