Aston Villa January transfer target, Steve Mandanda has taken to social media today to tell his followers that he will not be leaving Marseille until the summer despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
On Mandanda’s official Facebook account, he stated that he had ‘decided’ to remain at Marseille until the end of the current campaign, despite reported interest from the Premier League.
The 30-year-old said: “My agent has received proposals from various clubs to leave as soon as January. These proposals we have studied, I’ve weighed the pros and cons of what is best for me.”
Manadanda who is captain for Marseille said that the club was ‘part of his life’ and that it isn’t a ‘simple adventure’. He said that he has responsibilities at the French Ligue 1 club which made him commit.

The French international didn’t rule out a move in the summer saying that he didn’t ‘know what the future’ held for him, but he was focussed on the here and now at Marseille as they enter the second half of the season after a winter break.
Remi Garde has been keen to add a keeper to his side as he looks to strengthen a Villa team that is currently rock bottom of the Premier League.
