Bacuna angers Villa fans with online post

Leandro Bacuna has sent social media into meltdown this afternoon after posting the below post which many believe is to do with Aston Villa’s current Premier League plight.

The versatile midfielder/defender has featured heavily this season but has failed to register an assist or score a goal. The post has led to many fans questioning the Dutch midfielder’s attitude.

Bacuna joined Villa in 2013 from Groningen and has since gone on to make 69 appearances in a Villa shirt while finding the net on five occasions.

So far this season he has been deployed as an attacking winger as well as at centre-midfield, right-back, and left-back. In the summer, he penned a new 5-year deal at Villa Park.

The post seems fairly innocent, but it is clear the frustrated Villa faithful are going to pick at it. Stan Collymore most notably questioned the post saying that Bacuna essentially looked out of touch with the fans for posting it.
