Aston Villa manager, Remi Garde has spoken in the press ahead of his side’s trip to West Ham United tomorrow evening.

The main message that came across in the Frenchman’s conference was his frustration in the lack of business being done at Villa Park.

He has endured a frustrating transfer window with Lovre Kalinic’s work permit being turned down as well as failures in the head hunting of Seydou Doumbia, who joined Newcastle United earlier today and Matheiu Debuchy who is expected to move to Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux.

I am disappointed because I know I represent this big club. I am not coming in front of the fans with good news. I always said I will not run away. I feel the way I am working, and the way I see the club, I feel the support.

Remi Garde also said that Micah Richards would not be joining Sunderland or leaving Villa Park before the window slams shut at 11pm tonight.

On Richards leaving, “No chance!”

The Villans currently sit bottom of the Premier League table with no new transfers so far in January.
