In his recent interview with the club website, recently appointed chairman Steve Hollis gave his thoughts on Remi Garde.
Garde, who was successful with Lyon during his previous managerial stint, was appointed at the beginning of November. His aim was to drag Villa out of the relegation battle they found themselves in under Tim Sherwood.
However, Garde has struggled at Villa due to a number of reasons and has only won two league games in his time in charge, which has subsequently meant that Villa are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

In recent times, Garde has recently been linked to a return to Lyon, with Villa hurtling towards the Championship.
With chairman Steve Hollis currently restructuring the club’s board and disposing of members of the former regime led by Tom Fox, Garde’s position has come under further scrutiny.
Speaking about Garde, Hollis said:
“Rémi is fully engaged. He is spending a lot of time with Mervyn and David and working with Brian.
“I am leaving it to the football side of the Board to really work through what is going to work.
“When they come up with their recommendations, which should be in the next week or so, we will share more.”
Will Garde still Villa manager at the start of next season?
