Okore’s agent claims Lerner has given up

The agent of Jores Okore, Nikola Jaegerfield Juric, has accused Randy Lerner of ‘throwing in the towel’ and has also criticised Villa for their lack of communication with him, as he attempts to secure Okore’s future, whether it be at Villa or elsewhere.

Okore, who joined Villa in the summer of 2013, was on the bench against Chelsea during the 4-0 defeat at the weekend. During his time at Villa, Okore missed 14 months due to injury, after picking up ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury against Newcastle in September 2013.

According to the Mirror , Nikola Jaegerfield Juric said:

I’ve never tried anything like it. It seems as though the owner has thrown the towel.

Juric also slammed Villa’s management, accusing them of not getting in contact with him despite his claims that he has contacted the club numerous times.

He said:

It is simply so irresponsible that you cannot get hold of anyone who has responsibility.

I have tried for 14 days to create a dialogue. Right now, we know not who manages the club and what they want with Jores in the longer term.

However, despite Villa having their worst season in the Premier League era and possibly having relegation confirmed next weekend, Juric has claimed that Okore does not regret joining Villa.

No, we do not regret the choice of Aston Villa, for at that time it was under control.

Manager Paul Lambert promised playing time, and it was the most important thing at the time. Jores also had an amazing time during Tim Sherwood last season.

Furthermore, the Mirror claim that Villa have responded to Juric’s claim, saying that they have indeed responded to Juric’s email as well as offering Juric a meeting with Eric Black.
