Gabby Agbonlahor is set to miss Villa’s clash against Bournemouth on Saturday, with the 29-year-old forward suffering from a virus.
Agbonlahor, who missed last weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Chelsea, whilst he was suspended as the club carried out an investigation into his behaviour over the international break, only returned to training on Monday after Villa concluded that no further action would be taken against him.
It’s also been a season to forget for Agbonlahor on the field, with only one goal to his name so far this season in the 2-0 win against Norwich in February. His last appearances came as a substitute in Remi Garde’s final game as Villa manager, when Villa lost 1-0 to Swansea.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against the Cherries, caretaker manager Eric Black said:
He has not trained today and I have taken him out of the squad because he is coming in to see the doctor.
He phoned in this morning to say he was struggling with a virus.
Black also praised Agbonlahor’s attitude to training since his suspension was lifted by the club on Monday.
I couldn’t fault him for his attitude in training,
What we have asked him to do he has done. He hasn’t been a problem.
But he has called in this morning saying he’s feeling unwell.
Will Agbonlahor be missed by Villa this weekend?
