Black: Grealish is an outstanding young player

Aston Villa caretaker manager Eric Black has had his say on Jack Grealish’s future, with the former Aberdeen striker insisting that the Villa academy graduate will make a big impact next season, as Villa look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Grealish, who was given his Villa debut by Paul Lambert at the end of the 2013-2014 season, impressed under Tim Sherwood during Villa’s end of season run in last season including a fantastic performance against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final.

However, Grealish has struggled this season, despite scoring his first Villa goal in the 3-2 defeat to Leicester in September. His lack of form and constant injuries meant he only made sporadic appearances under Remi Garde, whilst his only appearances under Eric Black have come as a substitute.

Speaking to Villa’s website, Black praised Grealish’s work ethic and was adamant that he has a bright future ahead of him.

Jack is an outstanding young player, no question.

He’s got a great future with this club.

What I would say is that he’s a fantastic footballer, a great lad and he’s working hard.

I am sure he will have a big impact next season.

Will Grealish bounce back from his disappointing season and have a big impact in the Championship next season?
