Chairman Steve Hollis has today left Aston Villa according to Pat Murphy from the BBC.
Hollis has been credited with brokering the deal for the sale of Aston Villa to Chinese businessman Dr Tony Xia and also the removal of the likes of Tom Fox and Hendrik Almstadt from the club.

He only came into the club in January but made a big impact off the pitch as he began Villa’s restructuring.
It comes days after Dr Tony Xia was confirmed as Aston Villa’s new owner. Reports suggest that Xia is starting to put together his own board with Xia himself coming in as chairman and former Everton board member Keith Wyness being appointed as chief executive.
Jamie Banfill and Christopher Samuelson are also part of Villa’s new set up with the latter expected to meet with the necessary bodies over the coming days to pass the fit and proper person test.
Tony Xia is also expected to continue a revamp of the Aston Villa board.
