Former Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has declared he is fit again and wants to play for the club again just over four years since he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia.
After successfully battling against the illness he declared in April that he was ready to make a move back into professional football with the Villans getting the first look at the midfielder.
He was an instrumental figure at the Midlands side until he was forced to retire. The Bulgarian, who is now 36 believes he still has a few years of professional football left in him.
Petrov made 186 appearances for Villa scoring on nine occasions during a seven year spell at B6.
Dan Bardell on The Villa View has gave his reasons as to why Petrov should get a contract at Villa Park.
