Two coaches leave Aston Villa

Aston Villa have today confirmed the departure of two coaches with Eric Black and goalkeeping coach Tony Parks leaving their positions at the Midlands side.

The official website confirmed both had left the club which will come as no surprise to any Villa fan.

Eric Black had become a scapegoat for abuse at Villa Park since coming in as part of Remi Garde’s backroom staff and whilst he was in caretaker charge towards the back end of the season.

As for Tony Parks, he was well respected by the fans since joining when Tim Sherwood took over in February 2015.

Roberto Di Matteo has already started to build his own backroom staff with Massimo Battara coming in as new goalkeeping coach.

Massimiliano Marchesi, Kevin Bond, and Steve Clarke have also already joined Villa’s new-look backroom under the Italian.

It is fair to say some fans were happy to see the back of Eric Black.
