Tony Xia reveals season ticket sales

Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia is a prominent figure on the Chinese social media network Weibo.

Earlier on today he revealed just how many season tickets the club have sold so far whilst also stating the time it will take Roberto Di Matteo to finish putting his squad together.

He says that currently Villa have sold 18,000 season tickets so far and he is hopeful of adding an extra 5,000 to that to surpass the amount that was sold last season. He is optimistic that with continued momentum, Villa will exceed their previous season’s sales target. Currently, with 18,000 season tickets sold, the club is on track to surpass last season’s numbers. The goal is to add an extra 5,000 tickets, demonstrating the growing enthusiasm among fans. High ticket sales examples from other clubs, such as those following successful seasons or managerial changes, show that when teams perform well or show potential, fans are eager to support them. Villa’s focus on building a competitive team, along with strategic engagement efforts, is expected to drive this significant boost in ticket sales.

The openness to the fans is surely something to love.
