Aston Villa have reportedly joined fellow Midlands-based sides Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion in taking an interest in Oxford United winger Marvin Johnson, as per a report from Gregg Evans of the Birmingham Mail.
The 26-year-old has been in good form for the League One side since moving from Motherwell and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed with Derby County, Reading and Stoke City also apparently keeping a close eye on him.

Johnson, who can play either as a left-winger or left-back, was born in Birmingham so has close ties to the area and there’s a very good chance that he could be on the move this summer.
He has scored five goals for Oxford this season and also has 11 assists and plenty of teams have been scouting him in recent weeks.
A lot of teams are looking down the leagues for talent as the transfer market becomes ever more competitive and it looks like Villa are no different.
