Scotsman Robert Snodgrass joined Villa on a season long loan from West Ham in the summer with a £2 Million loan fee paid to bring him to Villa park. The winger has had a great time so far at Villa contributing six goals and six assists as well as becoming a real fans favourite.
Snodgrass has been fantastic for Villa this season and most recently picked up the man of the match award in Villa’s 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest. His addition to the team has added the goals and creativity in midfield that Villa sorely lacked last season and with him and Albert Adomah on each flank Villa look a real threat.
Villa Boss Steve Bruce is a big fan of the Scotsman’s and last month said “He was a no brainer for us, He’s not just hit the ground running, he is popular in the dressing room. He’s likeable, he’s a good lad to have around. He is never dull. He is always bright and breezy”
Due to Snodgrass’ fantastic form whilst on loan at Villa, it has been reported in The Sunday Express that Hammers Boss David Moyes wants to bring him back to the London Stadium as he seeks to continue his rebuilding job of his West Ham squad.

Villa are reluctant to see him leave before his loan is up and are demanding that if the Hammers are to take him back their £2 million loan fee will be repaid but David Moyes is unwilling to use part of his January war chest on recalling Snodgrass.
Snodgrass himself might be reluctant to go back to West Ham after Co-owner David Sullivan publicly said “The manager says he wants Jose Fonte from Southampton and Robert Snodgrass from Hull. My kids begged me not to sign them.”
However it was also reported by HITC back in December that West Ham do not have a clause to recall the Scotsman in their loan agreement with Villa. So it looks more than likely that he will see out his loan spell at Villa Park where he will look to help them to achieve their pre-season goals of promotion.
