Villa eye move for Strasbourg’s Bahoken

Aston Villa are eyeing a move for Strasbourg’s Stéphane Bahoken and are looking to bring him to Villa Park this month, according to Get Football France.

Bahoken, the 25-year-old striker, has been at the newly promoted Ligue 1 side since his transfer from Nice in 2014. He has been ever present this year, aside from when he had an injury, as they try and stay in the French top flight at the first time of asking.

Bahoken has been short of goals, only scoring three in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season. However, his last two goals were one strike in a very impressive 3-0 win away at Bordeaux and a historic winner at home to Paris Saint-Germain in a 2-1 win.

Bahoken’s contract at RC Strasbourg runs out in the summer, and so  he is able to talk to foreign clubs ahead of a possible move in the summer. However, as he is in his final six months of his current deal, Strasbourg wish to get as much money for the attacker as possible now, and as such, they are open to selling him.
