His current deal runs out at the end of the season and the club have apparently stated that he will not be getting an extension at Villa Park.
Hutton’s contract reached a trigger after playing a certain number of games last season which meant he could extend his stay until 2018.
Hutton joined the club from Spurs in 2011 but has struggled to help the club in their endeavours. Despite this, though, he has been a loyal servant and has been committed to the cause over the years.
The Scottish defender has made over 50 appearances under Steve Bruce in the last couple of seasons and as he nears the twilight stages of his career, he is now set for a new challenge.
Hutton’s possibility of leaving will have a number of teams keen due to his wealth of experience.
