Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Hannover forward Niclas Füllkrug this summer, according to German sources.
The 25-year old striker has been in fine form for the club this season, scoring 15 goals and assisting three in the Bundesliga, and has caught the eye of several Premier League and Championship clubs.
According to German outlet Bild, as reported by Sport Witness, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Watford, as well as newly promoted Cardiff City are ready to rival Villa for Füllkrug’s signature, while fellow second-flight side Fulham are also keen.
The English sides will face competition from Germany, with fellow Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg said to be keen in the former Germany Under-20s international.
Füllkrug has no release clause and with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2020, Hannover can demand whatever they so please. Bild claim that the club could get ‘double figures’ for their star – a price tag likely to be affordable by all the aforementioned English clubs.
