Aston Villa want to sign Liverpool’s Harry Wilson on loan
Aston Villa are interested in signing Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson on loan this summer, report the Birmingham Mail.
The 21-year-old was loaned out to Hull City in January and in 14 appearances scored seven goals, leaving the fans at the KCOM Stadium in awe at his performances.
They would obviously like to bring him back, but have a slim chance with Villa and three others also interested.
Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and Rangers are all chasing Wilson, and Jurgen Klopp is happy to send him out on loan again.
Klopp was impressed with the feedback from Wilson’s loan in Yorkshire, but thinks he needs more fine-tuning before being ready to challenge for a spot at Anfield.
The Villans know they will better their chances of bringing him in should they beat Fulham in the Championship play-off final, and Steve Bruce is known to like his loan signings from big clubs.
Sam Johnstone, Josh Onomah and Axel Tuanzebe are all at Villa Park from top four sides until the end of the season, with Robert Snodgrass and Lewis Grabban also on loan.
Rangers have an advantage to signing the Welshman, with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard just appointed as their manager.
However, the guaranteed chance of Premier League football with Huddersfield may lead to Wilson staying in Yorkshire.
