Steve Bruce keen on permanent move for Josh Onomah

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has admitted that he is keen on signing on loan midfielder Josh Onomah on a permanent basis next season, according to reports..

Villa face a massive game on Saturday as they come up against Fulham in the Championship play off final and are readying their plans ahead of next season.

Villa are keen to tie down their loan players to long term deals next season and Onomah is top of their priorities.

The Spurs midfield seems pretty stable at the moment so it would be difficult for him to fit in there and a move to Villa Park would make sense.

He burst onto the scene in North London a couple of years ago, but elected to go out on loan to the Championship this season and has performed well under Bruce at Villa Park.

The first thing we want to do is secure them. I would love to secure them all if we can. The loan signings have been instrumental in getting us this far. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done. They’ve been terrific for us, our loan signings.

matchday.
