Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton appears to be close to agreeing a deal with Nottingham Forest.
The Scotsman becomes a free agent as of the end of the month and it seems with no contract having been offered by Villa, he will be on the move this summer.
Hutton played an involved role for Steve Bruce throughout last season as the club missed out on promotion to the Premier League at the final hurdle.
However, his future appears to be all but sealed, with the Telegraph’s John Percy reporting that an offer for his services has been tabled by Villa’s fellow Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Villa are in the midst of serious financial woes and although no transfer fee will be received for Hutton’s departure, the move will mildly ease the strain on the club’s finances through wages.
The 33-year-old has been at Villa Park since 2011 but after seven years at the club, a new challenge at Forest seemingly awaits.
