‘What a team this was’ – These Aston Villa fans are excited by club message

With the football season halted, clubs up and down the country have been trying different ways to interact with fans to keep them entertained.

One popular feature has been to re-live some memorable games.

Aston Villa have done just that too, with the club showing full game highlights on a Friday of a popular game, with the last one shown the 3-1 win at Liverpool under Paul Lambert.

And, the club revealed on Twitter this afternoon that the next game they will be showing comes from the successful Martin O’Neill era – when they thumped Derby County 6-0 at Pride Park.

It remains Villa’s biggest away win in the Premier League and is perhaps best remembered for Stiliyan Petrov’s brilliant long-range effort that put the visitors three goals up before half-time.

Obviously, the fans have happy memories from that day and many are looking forward to watching the game on Friday.

Here we look at some of the comments from Twitter…
