Aston Villa could still sign Said Benrahma in this transfer window, according to the Telegraph.
The domestic transfer window closes on Friday, allowing Premier League clubs to make potential last-minute deals with clubs lower down the divisions.
With West Ham potentially stalling in their efforts to snap up Benrahma, Villa are monitoring the situation, eyeing up a possible bid.

While the step up from the Championship to the Premier League can be tough for many players, Benrahma has all the attributes to shine in the top flight.
His outrageous natural talent was out in full force last season, as he starred for Brentford and was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Seventeen goals from out wide was an impressive tally, highlighting substance to his play, and his dribbling ability and unpredictability make him a nightmare for defenders.
It would also allow the Algerian the opportunity to link up with former Brentford colleague Ollie Watkins again, with the striker making a flying start to life at Villa, famously scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool last time around.
The pair clicked alongside one another last season and could have similar success at Villa Park, forging a formidable attacking unit with Jack Grealish.
