Aston Villa man pictured with UK artist and teases new project
Tyrone Mings recently took part in the social media boycott that pressured platforms to do more in stopping abuse. He’s now ended his silence and posted a picture on Instagram with UK artist Konan, teasing a potential project between the two.
The 28-year-old said: ‘New music on the way? @konanplaydirty signing for villa? 🤷🏽♂️🎤⚽️’, but it remains to be seen what the pair are working on if anything.
Konan, full name Karl Dominic Wilson BEM, is one half of hip hop duo Krept and Konan. The group are based in London and support Manchester United, so their ties with Mings aren’t likely to be related with Aston Villa.
Mings did join Roc Nation, a company founded by rapper Jay-Z in 2020, where the goal was to elevate his career on a global scale on and off the field by using social media as a promoting tool, so perhaps that’s why Mings is getting his face in the music industry?
That being said, Mings is a philanthropist who has a football academy and has chipped in to help the homeless around Christmas, so the link-up could be related to charity work in the future.
Krept & Konan opened a foundation in South London which aims to inspire youth to follow a better path, so both parties share a similar philosophy to help. This is all speculation, however.
