Aston Villa enjoyed a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night and Tyrone Mings celebrated the victory by posting pictures to his Instagram stories. The 28-year-old shared an action shot of him pursuing Harry Kane on the ball and posted a mantra about ‘winning’.

Mings has made 36 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals with two assists. He’s been a regular at centre-back and earned an England call-up on account of his club form, so his career is going in the right direction.
Mings has captained the side in recent months too, so his leadership is undeniable. Villa have conceded 45 goals in 37 Premier League games and could post their best top-flight defensive record since 2010 if they can keep Chelsea at bay on Sunday.
Emiliano Martinez, Matt Targett, Ezri Konsa and Matty Cash have more than played their part in Villa’s much-improved backline, but Mings has also contributed in them keeping 15 clean sheets this season.
And as things stand, he has a good chance of making England’s Euro 2020 squad.
