Louie Barry has been in the media spotlight countless times in his young career, be it for joining Barcelona or for scoring on his senior debut at Aston Villa, so it’s easy to forget he’s only a teenager. An age calculator online quickly confirms just how young he still is.
Barry is one year older now too, having celebrated his 18th birthday on Monday, so there have been plenty of pictures on his Instagram stories of the special day.
The talented centre-forward joined Villa from Barca in January 2020 and has gone on to make one appearance, scoring one goal. Barry scored eight goals with four assists in eight games for the U18s and scored 14 goals with one assist in 19 games for the U23s.
He’s represented England at U15 (10 games, 5 goals), U16 (10 games, 7 goals), U17 (four games, two goals) and U18 (one game) level too, so the future looks bright for Barry. He’ll be hoping to add to his one senior appearance for Villa next season but has Ollie Watkins, Wesley Moraes and Keinan Davis for competition, so it won’t be easy.
For now, he can just enjoy turning 18.
