Jack Grealish has an uncertain future this summer as Manchester City are keen on procuring his signature while Aston Villa hope to extend his contract, but supporters are in the dark over what the outcome will be.

The 25-year-old has a £100m asking price that City are believed to have matched, but Grealish is in control of his future as he can choose whether or not to agree personal terms with the Premier League champions.

Villa are willing to break their own wage structure to keep him in the Midlands, but City are an attractive proposition given they’ve won three titles in the last four seasons and reached the Champions League final in May.

Social media has a lot of contrasting opinions. Some Villa fans believe Grealish’s love for the club is strong enough for him to stay while others think his mind is made up to leave.

Grealish consistently trends on Twitter and the discourse is usually about whether his loyalty trumps his ambition. Villa and City aren’t in the same boat even though the former has strengthen well in the transfer market.

Grealish could win silverware at City and could be one of the highest earners in the continent, so the Sky Blues are hard to turn down. Time will tell, however.
