Aston Villa handed 7,000-ticket Super Cup allocation for PSG clash

Aston Villa supporters hoping to make it to the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain will be taking place in the hottly contested ticket race. Following UEFA confirming each finalist will receive 7,000 tickets for the season European Cup opener with Paris Saint-Germain in Salzburg.

We will travel to the Stadion Salzburg in August to face the Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.

The governing body says the general public application window is open through UEFA.com until June 23 at 11:00 CEST, with tickets allocated by lottery. Crucially for Villa fans, UEFA has also confirmed that each club will receive 7,000 tickets from a net stadium capacity of 28,500, with 9,000 tickets available to the general public.

Prices start at €30 for Fans First tickets reserved for the finalist clubs’ allocations, while general ticket categories are listed at €50, €90 and €150.

As it stands, this is the first and only concrete ticket-allocation figure Villa supporters have had for one of the club’s biggest European occasions in decades.

A 7,000 allocation is not huge given the demand around Unai Emery’s side after their Europa League triumph, so the club’s own sales criteria will matter enormously. Supporters who travelled through the European run will be watching closely for how Villa prioritise loyalty, previous attendance and any ballot process. It is a big game for us. Villa are not going to Salzburg for a friendly or a ceremonial night out. We are facing PSG for another European trophy, and the number of available seats means getting there could become almost as competitive as the match itself.

UEFA’s ticket rules also include stricter anti-resale measures. Buyers must use the UEFA Mobile Tickets app, register the phone they will use at the stadium, and the purchaser’s ticket will be non-transferable. UEFA says any resale should go through its official platform at face value.

Of course the Glamour of a European final involving Villa and PSG and a profit is what will interest some. It ill inevitably attract unofficial sellers. The safest line for supporters is simple: wait for official Villa guidance or use UEFA’s own channels.

Villa still need to confirm exactly how their 7,000 tickets will be sold to supporters. Keep on read alert for details of that soon on the official club website. We will update when further details are available.
