Aston Villa have been handed a fresh creative transfer cue after Lee Kang-in was named as a potential Premier League fit for Unai Emery.
According to talkSPORT, European football expert Andy Brassell believes the Paris Saint-Germain attacker could suit Villa this summer, arguing that the 25-year-old needs a club where his versatility becomes a starting-point rather than a restriction.
That detail matters for Villa. Emery’s side have already been linked with wide and attacking-midfield reinforcements, while Morgan Rogers’ growing status has sharpened the need for reliable final-third depth. Read Aston Villa recently covered the wider PSG-to-Villa recruitment thread, and Lee would fit the same high-upside, Champions League-ready bracket.
Lee Kang-in profile gives Villa a clear tactical hook
Lee is under contract at PSG until 2028, with Transfermarkt listing him as an attacking midfielder who can also play from both wings. That profile would give Emery another left-footed creator capable of carrying possession, combining between lines and changing the rhythm of games from the bench or as a starter.
The South Korea international has also raised his visibility at the 2026 World Cup, where his opening performance against Czechia drew attention for control and chance creation. Villa do not need another speculative name for the sake of it; they need flexible attackers who can survive Emery’s tactical demands.
If PSG are open to trimming their squad, Lee is a name Villa should at least have on the intelligence board.
