Cole Ramsey has joined Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-21 squad after leaving Aston Villa’s academy.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder spent 13 years with Villa and progressed through the club’s youth system.
Tottenham confirmed Ramsey’s arrival after his departure from Villa, with the teenager now set to link up with their Under-21 group for the 2026/27 season.
Ramsey featured regularly for Villa’s Under-18s last season. His final appearance at that level came against Tottenham at the end of April.
He was also part of the wider Villa youth group around the Under-18 Premier League title success in 2024/25.

Ramsey’s exit is not a senior squad setback, but it still shows how competitive academy pathways have become.
Villa have produced and moved several young players through different routes in recent months. Some have stayed inside the club’s structure, while others have needed a new opening elsewhere.
