Aston Villa have confirmed that Louie Barry has completed a permanent transfer to Sheffield Wednesday.
Villa announced Barry’s departure on their official X account, bringing an end to a six-year spell that began when he joined the club from Barcelona in 2020.
Barry’s Villa career will always be remembered for one standout moment. He scored on his senior debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup, giving supporters an early glimpse of the talent that had made him one of the club’s most exciting young prospects.
He also helped Villa lift the FA Youth Cup before moving into a long run of loan spells. Barry spent time with Ipswich Town, Swindon Town, MK Dons, Salford City, Sheffield United, Hull City and Stockport County.
