Lucas Digne will undergo a PSG medical after the French champions triggered his €10m Aston Villa release clause.
The France international has agreed a three-year contract with his former club. He will now complete the final checks before signing for Luis Enrique’s side.
L’Équipe, via Get French Football News, reports that PSG want Digne to provide cover for Nuno Mendes. ESPN also reported that the defender quickly accepted the move.
Villa could not prevent the transfer once PSG activated the release clause. However, the club will receive around €10m for a player who turned 33 this week.

Digne joined Aston Villa from Everton in January 2022. He became an important player under Unai Emery and made 44 appearances last season.
The left-back helped Villa finish fourth in the Premier League and win the Europa League. He also represented France during their run to the World Cup semi-finals.
Digne previously played for PSG between 2013 and 2016. He won two Ligue 1 titles before joining Barcelona, where he worked with Enrique.
His departure leaves Ian Maatsen as Villa’s main left-back. Emery still needs another senior option before the new Champions League campaign begins.
ReadAstonVilla recently reported that Villa were closing in on a £13m move for Pervis Estupiñán. The Ecuador international has already worked with Emery at Villarreal.
Villa remain in talks with AC Milan over the final fee. Digne’s medical should now increase the pressure to complete that deal.
The move also removes one of Villa’s higher earners from the wage bill. Meanwhile, Maatsen can now establish himself as Emery’s first-choice left-back.
Digne leaves Villa with a European trophy and Champions League qualification. His return to Paris also gives him another opportunity to compete for major honours.
