Aston Villa complete their pre-season programme against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday as Unai Emery’s side make their final preparations for the new Premier League campaign.
Villa travel to Borussia-Park only three days after pushing Paris Saint-Germain close in a 2-1 UEFA Super Cup defeat in Salzburg.
Saturday therefore gives Emery one final opportunity to assess his squad before the competitive domestic season begins.

Borussia have included the friendly as the centrepiece of their traditional season-opening weekend, while Villa confirmed the fixture earlier this summer as the final match of their pre-season schedule.
Villa will then have eight days to prepare for their Premier League opener away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, 23 August.
