4 Things Learned: Aston Villa 1-0 Stoke City

Tim’s Tactics aren’t working.

Tim Sherwood is trying, he really is – but it isn’t working. He said in his press conference his racking his brain for ideas but the only thing his tactics did today was isolate Gestede and Sinclair in the first half.

We don’t have a goal scorer.

Rudy Gestede is great in the air, but he isn’t a Premier League goalscorer. He won’t bang in 15/20 a season and Ayew, well the less said the better.

Veretout deserves more games.

The French midfielder was very industrial in both the first and second half, he deserves more games to fit into the Premier League.

Crespo has learnt the hard way how difficult the Premier League is.

His lapse of concentration for the goal is what ultimately lost us the game, he was to far away from Richards and left a huge gap for the Arnautovic to run through.

Interested in Football, Politics and obviously Aston Villa.
