Aston Villa are set to bring in their former fitness coach, Robert Duverne back to the club from French Ligue One side, Metz – Gregg Evans from the Birmingham Mail reports.
Duverne is most fondly remembered for his short spell at the Villans in 2011 when he was involved in an altercation with James Collins and Richard Dunne, and also the infamous moment he lost his temper with the France international squad when they had a striker at the World Cup in 2010 – particularly Patrice Evra.
Garde Shapes His Team
The move for Duverne does not come of any shock to many. Duverne has worked alongside some of France’s best managers including Arsene Wenger, Gerard Houllier.
The fans should not be worried by Duverne’s track record with altercations. He is renown for his work and out current fitness levels do not seem all in order.
Reginald Ray is also expected to join up with Garde at Villa as he looks to set his coaching team out.
