Aston Villa appoint new board members

Aston Villa have announced the appointments of David Bernstein and Brian Little to the new look Aston Villa board, which is to be headed by new chairman Steve Hollis.

David Bernstein is reputable within the football world and former Chairman at Manchester City. He is also currently Chairman at the FA and sits on the boards at many reputable brands within the business world, including Ted Baker.

Brian Little is a name that a lot of fans will be pleased to hear. The man is Aston Villa through and through and the last manager to win a major trophy at the club.
The Villa legend spoke of his delight at being approached by the Villa hierarchy.
I’ve held various roles at the football club over a 46 year period and I know my experience and love for the Club will help shape a positive future for Aston Villa.

It seems that these two appointments give fans a bit more hope in the revival of Aston Villa next season with Championship football all but confirmed.

Criticism of the appointment of Meryvn King and Steve Hollis was met with anger over their lack of Football experience, but these two have a lot of footballing experience to boast about.
