Aston Villa have suspended striker Gabby Agbonlahor and will launch an investigation following allegations that he was out partying on the night the club were officially relegated from the top flight.
Agbonlahor was reportedly pictured surrounded by laughing gas canisters at a party in London on the evening following Villa’s loss at Old Trafford that saw them mathematically relegated with four games still left to play.
According to a report by the BBC, Villa will look into the claims that he was out partying and taking laughing gas and have suspended the former England international whilst they carry out their investigation.
Agbonlahor was not involved in the game having already been told that he was not in the right shape to play, so Villa fans will be disappointed to have seen him apparently worse-for-wear as they’d have hoped that he’d have been doing all he could go get back into shape.
