Tim Sherwood would consider Aston Villa return

Former Aston Villa boss  Tim Sherwood has told Beinsports.com that he would be open to returning to the club as their next manager.

Villa sacked Sherwood back in October 2015 after a difficult start and hired Frenchman Remi Garde to try and keep the club in the Premier League.

He was unable to do that and now the Villans will spend the 2016/17 season in the Championship, and the man he replaced says he’d be open to taking charge of the club once again.

When asked if he would consider a return to Villa this summer, Sherwood replied:

Yeah, I will certainly consider it, yeah.

The former Spurs boss did have some success whilst in charge of Villa. He kept the club in the top-flight after being appointed in February 2015 and he also led the team to the FA Cup final.

Names such as Roberto Di Matteo, Nigel Pearson and Oscar Garcia have been linked with the Villa job and we can now throw Sherwood’s name into the hat too.
