As Aston Villa look set to conclude their managerial hunt in the coming days, owner Dr Tony Xia has confirmed on Twitter that the club is set to announce their new manager as soon as tomorrow.
Twitter: Scheduled to announce the new manager tomorrow! Time for all to stand together and back the team! Believe we’ve made the best try! #UTV (@Dr_TonyXia)
The new boss is highly likely to be Steve Bruce, who has been taking all the headlines in the recent days as he looks to make a return to football management after leaving Hull at the start of the season due to issues with the board at the club, seeing him leave by mutual consent.
Villa have been hunting for a manager for just over a week now after it was confirmed that Italian boss Roberto Di Matteo was to be relieved of his duties as the club’s first-team manager after a massively underwhelming start to the Championship season.
Bruce is an expert in getting teams promoted to the Premier League and he’ll be out to do the same again as he closes in on the Villa job.
