Aston Villa Football Club have announced that Steve Bruce has been appointed as the team’s new manager.
Speculation has been rife regarding the vacant managerial post but Villa have got their man and Bruce will begin work at Villa Park immediately as he looks to amend their poor start to life in the Championship.
It was no surprise to see Villa turn to other options aside from Roberto Di Matteo after his simply underwhelming start with the club saw him get the sack at the start of the month.
Bruce left Hull just weeks before the season started due to issues with the board, but he will now move onto pastures new with Aston Villa and the aim is, of course, to get them back up to the top flight of English football at the first time of asking.
The 55-year-old has plenty of experience of getting teams back into the Premier League and he’ll hope to replicate his previous successes with Villa.
