Gary Gardner describes Bruce change

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has spoken about how manager Steve Bruce has changed the philosophy at the club since coming in as boss.

Speaking to the BBC the former England Under 21 international revealed how Bruce has made the side feel like they cannot lose and also boosted player’s confidence hugely.

The Villans are unbeaten in four under Bruce with two wins and two draws since he took over from Roberto Di Matteo.

It feels like we can’t lose. I know it’s funny to say that but it’s a good feeling to have.

Gardner, who has spent countless spells out on loan from Villa Park has featured in the side’s past three games and looked reassured alongside the experienced likes of Mile Jedinak.

His goal vs Birmingham City was surprisingly his first goal in an Aston Villa shirt, twenty five games after his debut.

Every player knows what they’re doing now. We feel confident.

Gardner will be hopeful of lining up against Blackburn Rovers at home next weekend in search of remaining unbeaten at home.

What do you make of Gardner’s performance’s this season?
