Jack Grealish has been suspended for Aston Villa’s past three games but returned to action for the Under 23s against Blackburn Rovers at the Bescot Stadium a day after the second city derby.

He was said to have had a lively opening half for the U23s only for the Villa wide man to be subbed in the 39th minute causing widespread panic across Aston Villa’s social media.

The Birmingham Mail have said that Grealish was actually caught short and had an upset stomach so had to quickly leave the field of play.

Steve Bruce was in attendance as Villa brushed past Rovers 4-0 thanks to two strikes from Rushian Hepburn-Murphy along with a goal for Aaron Tshibola and Andre Green.

Gabriel Agbonlahor also played a part as he attempts to regain full fitness and lose some pounds to put him in solid first team contention for the remainder of the season.

No need to panic though. Grealish isn’t injured.
