Inter Milan want to sign Pierluigi Gollini
Pierluigi Gollini has emerged as a target for Serie A giants Inter Milan according to reports in the goalkeeper’s homeland.
La Gazetta Dello Sport and Calcio Mercato both believe that the Villa goalkeeper could be set for a move back to Italy after the Villans confirmed the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan today.
It is said that Gollini could be taken to the San Siro as a back up to the Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper only left the Serie A in the summer to join Villa from Hellas Verona but a quick return could happen this January.
Gollini has struggled to maintain form during his time at Villa so far with a handful of costly mistakes leading to Mark Bunn taking the number one jersey at Villa Park.
Aston Villa are believed to have paid around £4.25 million for Gollini in the summer but no fee has been mentioned by the Italian news outlets yet.
